Oh I am so glad it touched you - I think of her everyday - she feels so present and time is so short. Every season holds memories, but autumn is especially poignant.
For me, autumn is filled with memories of my father. He would have been 98 two days ago, and with our Remembrance Day ceremonies a week and a bit away, I am always reminded of how much I miss him. 23 years gone and not a day goes by that I don’t think of him. To quote WandaVision, “What is grief but love persevering?” Indeed. <3
Yes, grief is like a wave and experiencing it is connection. Thank you for sharing, my sis came out here one autumn, this exact time of year, for one of our first gigs as ESP - we hiked in the forest, it was lovely to be able to share this area with her as it is so beautiful, but different to the Northern California redwood country that we grew up in.
